“Still Possible” Sky Journalist Makes January Transfer Claim About Dutch Ace Who Revealed United’s Interest Last Month

Manchester United target Cody Gakpo could leave PSV Eindhoven in the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

There has been speculation about the Dutchman moving to Leeds in recent days but Plettenberg claims that the player has ambitions of playing for a bigger club, with a move in the New Year still on the cards:

Gakpo revealed at the start of last month that Manchester United were interested in signing him during the final week of the summer transfer window, but the Red Devils ended their pursuit after recruiting Ajax’s Antony instead.

Gakpo’s form has, though, been outstanding at the start of this season, having bagged 13 goals and contributed 10 assists in 16 appearances, prompting more talk about a potential transfer.

In addition to United, Arsenal have also been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old, so we shall see who makes an offer for the Netherlands international when the window reopens.
