Manchester United are still tracking Monaco forward Pietro Pellegri, according to reports in the Italian media. The Red Devils have kept tabs on the teenager since he came through the ranks at Genoa.
However, the striker moved to Monaco for €25m in January 2018 and he has struggled with injury problems ever since, having made just six appearances for the Ligue One side over the past 30 months.
Fans on Twitter don’t think a move for Pellegri would be a good idea:
Steer well clear. Most injury prone player I’ve ever seen and that’s saying something.

He’s played 16 games in about 4 years. Don’t bother ?

Man has missed 89 games since 17/18 because of injury.

A punt for the youth team I imagine. Though cant imagine our team of mad doctors could get him fit.

Always injured

As one supporter mentions, the 19-year-old has only made 16 appearances in his professional career since 2016 and while the Italian certainly has potential, it would be a massive surprise if United took a risk on such an injury-prone player.
The Red Devils are keen on signing another forward and while Pellegri would certainly fit the criteria in terms of age, there are certainly better options on the market.
