Star Set To Sign £290k A Week Contract With United, With Two Other Players Tipped To Follow Suit

Manchester United are close to agreeing a new contract with goalkeeper David De Gea, according to the Guardian. There have been multiple stories over the past few months that the Spaniard is on the verge of signing on the dotted line, but this latest report believes a breakthrough has finally been made.

The shot-stopper’s salary has been the major bone of contention, but it is believed the Spaniard has agreed a contract in the region of £290,000 a week, to give him parity with Paul Pogba.

De Gea is expected to sign soon and two other United players have also reportedly been in talks with the club over renewing their contracts. Defender Victor Lindelof and Jesse Lingard are said to be the next in line to agree fresh terms.

Lindelof has 21 months remaining on his current deal, while Lingard is also in the same boat, so it isn’t surprising that the Red Devils are looking to tie them down for longer.
