Spurs Join United And Everton As Race For 30M Rated Defender Heats Up

Tottenham have stepped up their interest in Norwich right-back Max Aarons, joining Manchester United and Everton in the battle for the 21-year-old, according to reports in the UK.

The Canaries value the fullback at around £30m, which would make him a cheaper target for both the Red Devils and Spurs, who have been pursuing Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier and Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey respectively.

Trippier remains United’s number one option to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right-hand side of defence. However, it is believed that Atletico are not willing to sell the England international for less than €50m (£43M) so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side may have to move on to other options at some point.

Aarons has been on the Manchester club’s radar for a number of years, but with interest in the player increasing, they may be at risk of missing out on the defender if they don’t make their move soon.
