‘Spot On’ ‘He’s Right Tbf’ United Fans Respond As Frank Leboeuf Calls On Solskjaer To Make Big Decision On Pogba

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has recommended that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bench midfielder Paul Pogba.

The France international started the 5-0 win over RB Leipzig last week, where he made the assist for Mason Greenwood’s opener, but he gave away the crucial penalty in the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend.

In both games, Solskjaer opted to go with a midfield diamond, in order to accommodate Pogba in the starting eleven, but Leboeuf believes it would be better for the team if the midfielder was simply dropped to the bench:

“He doesn’t know what to do with Pogba. Solskjaer has to rethink his position, maybe the best position for Pogba right now is the bench.”

Solskjaer has already benched Pogba this season, in the games against Newcastle and Chelsea, and supporters on Twitter think it would be the right decision to drop the Frenchman once again:

United’s formation, particularly against Arsenal, simply didn’t allow them to have enough possession of the ball and if Solskjaer really is trying the system to make sure Pogba is selected, it certainly doesn’t seem to be working. Whether we’ll see the midfielder back on the bench against Istanbul Basaksehir tomorrow night, we shall have to wait and see.
