Sevilla want to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial this month, according to the Daily Mail.

The Spanish club looked to have missed out on Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata to Atletico Madrid and have switched targets to the Frenchman instead.

Whether Sevilla would have the financial muscle to recruit Martial, it seems highly unlikely, and with the player apparently keen to stay at Old Trafford, a switch looks like a non-starter.

Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed at his press conference yesterday that the Manchester club are in talks over a new deal with the 23-year-old.

The Red Devils triggered their option to extend Martial’s current deal until 2020 last month, and are now keen to tie him down for the long term.

The forward has scored nine goals and provided one assist in 24 games so far this campaign for United, having started five of Solskajer’s six league games in charge.
