Manchester United want to sign BOTH Ajax winger Antony and PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo before the transfer window closes, according to reports in the Dutch media.
It has been claimed that the Red Devils would only have the money to sign one of them, but the club are said to have increased the transfer funds they have made available to manager Erik ten Hag.
While some fans on Twitter would be happy if the two players made the switch to Old Trafford, others are sceptical about whether the reports are true:
Sounds just perfect

Even if it’s a choice, sign Antony, as we are short of rw options. Sancho can play on both wings, so he’d be a competition for both rashford and Antony. And if rashford remains bad, field sancho on the left, if Antony is bad, field sancho. If all three are bad, field me🤷🏾♂️

It would be a significant outlay if United were to bring in the pair of them ahead of the transfer deadline. Ajax are said to be demanding €100m (£85m) for Antony while PSV would want at least €45m (£38m) for Gakpo.
There’s no doubt, though, that ten Hag desperately needs to strengthen his options up front, and it would make sense recruiting both, with Antony preferring to play on the right wing, whilst Gakpo likes being deployed off the left flank.
United are unlikely to face competition for the two players either. Gakpo was linked with Arsenal and Liverpool earlier in the summer but the two Premier League clubs are now focused on other targets.
