Solskjaer Reveals Whether Shola Shoretire Or Amad Diallo Will Start Against Real Sociedad

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Shola Shoretire and Amad Diallo are unlikely to start when the Red Devils face Real Sociedad later this week.

Shoretire was handed his senior debut in the closing stages of the win over Newcastle last night, while Diallo impressed in the first leg against Sociedad, but Solskjaer says fans shouldn’t expect them to be named in the starting eleven on Thursday:

“Probably not, Shola and Amad, no. I’m not sure that would be fair on them, they’ll be in the squad.”

Considering United are 4-0 up from the first leg of the Europa League tie, it seems like the perfect time to give the two youngsters more opportunities, but Solskjaer obviously feels their development is better served by being gradually introduced into the first team.

With a sizeable lead and their passage to the round of 16 almost guaranteed, the Red Devils are likely to ring the changes regardless, especially with an important Premier League fixture against Chelsea coming up this weekend.
