Solskjaer Lays Down The Law To His United Players With Four Areas He Wants To See Improvement

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has outlined four major areas where his players must improve ahead of the games against Manchester City and Chelsea.

The 4-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday was a low point for the season, and the Norwegian expects to see changes in the Derby tonight and against the Blues on Sunday:

“My focus is that all the players can walk off the pitch on Wednesday night – and on Sunday [against Chelsea] – proud that they’ve given everything.”

“Performance, attitude, work rate, team spirit; if we come out saying I did everything for my team-mates, for the supporters, for this badge, I’ll be happy.”

As Paul Pogba has already stated to the press in recent days that the players let themselves, the club and the fans down with the performance at Goodison Park.

The minimum you should expect from a group of players is to put in 100% effort and play to the best of their ability.

Their attitude at the weekend was way below what was required, and while a derby against City should be the perfect opportunity to make amends, they will have to perform better in all aspects of their game to secure a result against Pep Guardiola’s team.
