Solskjaer Is Keeping Tabs On 25.6M Rated French Ace Who Has Been Lighting Up The Bundesliga

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has recently run the rule over RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Christopher Nkunku, according to Footmercato.net.

The Frenchman has been in excellent form this season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists in 32 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

Solskjaer is believed to have analysed reports on Nkunku and is impressed by what he has seen of the 23-year-old. The Red Devils are, however, not the only team keen on the player.

Foot Mercato report that Arsenal and Tottenham have been tracking the midfielder, although neither club are said to be close to making a formal offer.

Back in December, it was reported that Real Madrid were also interested in Nkunku, with it being claimed at the time that RB Leipzig would hold out for around €30m (£25.6m). Whether his price tag has increased, due to his excellent performances since the New Year, it isn’t known.

United are unlikely to need another no.10, with both Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek capable of playing that role, but Nkunku can also be utilised as a winger, so Solskjaer may be looking at him to strengthen out wide.
