Sky Sports pundit predicts defeat in Sevilla for Jose Mourinho’s United

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas predicts a defeat in Sevilla for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

The Red Devils travel to Spain tonight to take on the La Liga side in first-leg of their last-16 tie of the Champions League.

Despite topping Group A with 15 points and having won five of their six games however, former Arsenal star Nicholas believes United could be in for a shock in Sevilla this evening.

“The positive for United is Sevilla are a bag of Revels. They’re fifth in La Liga but their goal difference is negative so that tells you everything about their defence.” said Nicholas.

“But they can hurt you on their day in the hostile Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.”

Not only does Nicholas believe Sevilla will come out on top on their home soil, but that it could be a former Premier League star in ex-Manchester City forward Nolito who could prove the difference between the two sides.

Nolito left rivals Manchester City in the summer for Sevilla.

“2-1 and Nolito to score first,” the Scotsman concluded.

The two sides have shared all four of the previous Europa League titles, with United’s victory in the competition last year securing their place in the Champion’s League this season.

Sevilla had won the previous three Europa League title’s prior to United’s triumph.

Kick-off at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan is at 7:45 BST.
