Six Targets Named As United Look To Splash The Cash In January

Manchester United will target a number of players to revitalise the squad in the January transfer window, according to ESPN FC journalist Rob Dawson.

A key priority is to strengthen up front with Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson being considered, along with Lyon forward Moussa Dembele.

In midfield, the Red Devils have identified three names that could strengthen the team, with Aston Villa’s John McGinn, West Ham’s Declan Rice and Leicester’s James Maddison all being eyed.

The biggest issue, though, is whether any of these players will be available for the right price when the window reopens. The hierarchy at Old Trafford believe most of these signings may only happen next summer.

With that being the case, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to make do with a threadbare squad which has been blighted by injuries this season. There are currently ten players on the sidelines ahead of their match with Liverpool this weekend.
