‘Should Have Signed Him’ ‘Only Half Decent Sancho Backup’ Fans On Twitter React As Everton Ace Reveals United Approach

Everton forward Richarlison has claimed that he received offers from both Manchester United and Barcelona during the January transfer window.

The Red Devils were after a striker, and they eventually secured Odion Ighalo on loan just before the transfer deadline. However, Richarlison said that the Toffees turned down bids for him:

“There were lots of offers during the season, from Barcelona, from Manchester (United). But the club opted to keep me in the group and I didn’t want to leave in the middle of the season. It’s bad to leave team-mates like this.”

Fans on Twitter had a mixed reaction to Richarlison’s comments, with some believing United should have done more to sign the Brazilian, while others were not so sure:

Whether United will consider going back in for him this summer, we shall have to wait and see. The 23-year-old is well capable of playing from the right-wing, and he would certainly be an interesting alternative for Jadon Sancho if the Red Devils are priced out of a move for the Borussia Dortmund player.

Richarlison has scored 12 goals and provided four assists in 33 appearances for Everton this campaign, and his profile would certainly fit with what manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be looking for in a forward.
