Manchester United are considering an approach for Celtic defender Josip Juranovic if they can offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka this month, according to reports in England.
Manager Erik ten-Hag is said to be keen to strengthen his options on the right flank and, with Jack Butland having arrived on loan, and Wout Weghorst also expected to join shortly, a move for Juranovic could be considered.
Fans on Twitter are very much split on whether a right-back is needed, with some believing that Juranovic would be a good addition to the squad, while others feel Wan-Bissaka deserves to be given a chance:
Omooo please @ManUtd i really like that boy man utd should go and get him 🥲🥲🥲

LMAO Ten Hag said he doesn’t want average players and only the best at United are fit for the shirt. Juranovic Butland Weghorst. Average.

A good attacking right back, but questionable defending after watching him at Celtic a few times

At the moment when we can't even afford a loan deal of 3m, why would we lose the ones we have 🤔😂🤔🤔🙌

For me it would be harsh to move AWB on when he’s performing, I’d be keeping him for now, if he continues to perform thrn keep him if he stops performing then look at moving him on.

Juranovic was impressive for Croatia at the World Cup, and he has subsequently been linked with plenty of other clubs, including Chelsea and Barcelona. However, it has been claimed that he could be closing in on a surpise switch to Serie A side Monza so United may have to move fast if they are to secure the fullback’s signature.
