‘Should be playing week in week out’ ‘He needs to start’ – United Fans Call On Mourinho To Select Midfield General

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera came off the bench in the second half against Bournemouth and helped Jose Mourinho’s side secure victory at the Vitality Stadium.

The Portuguese boss admitted after the game that the team had defended badly as a unit in the first half.

However, things improved markedly after the interval, with Herrera playing an important role in wresting control of the match away from the Cherries. Fans on Twitter think the Spaniard should be starting more often.

The 29-year-old’s dynamism in midfield could be needed in crucial matches against Juventus and Manchester City over the next week, but the midfielder has only started twice all season.

Reports at the end of last week suggested that United may even consider letting the midfielder leave in January for between £3m and £5m with his contract expiring in the summer.

Still, if he can impress Mourinho in crucial games that are coming up, he may earn himself a new deal.
