Serie A giants closing in on ‘unhappy’ Manchester United forward

Serie A giants Juventus are circling in on Manchester United forward Anthony Martial amidst fresh doubts over the Frenchman’s future at Old Trafford.

Martial has reportedly become increasingly discontented with his lack of playing time after the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January, and is now thought to be willing reconsider his future at the club.

The France international has not started a game in nearly a month for Jose Mourinho’s side, and has been limited to only four starts since Sanchez moved to United from Arsenal in late January.


Martial’s contract at Old Trafford runs until next summer, however reports from his home country suggest Martial has rejected a new contract offer from United.

Juventus are hot favourites to land the 22-year-old should be leave Old Trafford this summer, with the Serie A leaders keen to take on Martial as a long-term replacement for outward bound striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Old Lady however are expected to face competition from PSG, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham, all of whom are understood to monitoring the striker’s situation.

Martial joined United in the summer of 2015 from AS Monaco, and has since made 131 appearances, scoring 36 goals.
