Scholes Reveals Favorite Transfer In LVG Era

Paul Scholes made a somewhat unexpected choice and picked Ander Herrera as the most important player to join Manchester United in the LVG era. The Spaniard, who struggled initially and was rumored to leave after just a couple of months spent at Old Trafford, is now a key player for The Red Devils. According to the Daily Mirror, Scholes is not impressed with Di Maria or Falcao who were expected to represent the game changing transfers everyone was waiting for. To be fair, their performances have been mediocre at best particularly those of Falcao while Di Maria has delivered some good outings. Fortunately youngsters like Herrera are starting to adapt to the Premier League and evolve. It is great to see him starting to work so well with Fellaini and Rooney who will be key players in next year’s Premier League.

If Herrera stays away from injury and has a solid work ethic, he could definitely become one of the Premier League’s most impressive midfielders. He does not shy away from physical duels, he looks willing to leave his last drop of energy on the pitch and he already looks 100% dedicated to Manchester United.

Scholes pointed out that moving from Spain to England is a massive change especially for creative players who are not as acquainted to the physical nature of the Premier League. Herrera is looking like the one who wanted this transfer most and that is why Scholes picked him from a list of players which also includes Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Blind, Falcao and Di Maria.
