Scholes Hails United Star’s Huge Improvement Under Solskjaer

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes the club are beginning to see Paul Pogba realise his full potential under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The former midfielder thinks the Frenchman has always had the talent, but he believes that the change in manager has seen a transformation in the player’s attitude and performances.

Scholes feels Pogba is now more of a team player under Solskjaer:

“For the first part of this season and probably last year as well, he was playing for himself. He had lost total respect for the manager, which I don’t agree with, totally.”

“Now, he is playing with his brain and using the quality he has. You’ve seen in the last 10 games what a player he is and what a player we all know we will be and can be.”

It’s clear there was an issue between the 25-year-old and previous coach Jose Mourinho. How much that affected the midfielder’s level of performance, we may never know.

What Scholes rightly points out, however, is that in the last eight games he has shown a different side to his game.

He is playing with a sense of freedom and flair that has led him to score six goals and contribute four assists since his return to the starting lineup.

Huge credit must go to both the player and the manager for such a transformation.
