Scholes Gives Backing Mourinho To Turn Things Around At Manchester United

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes wants manager Jose Mourinho to be given time to turn things around at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils lost 1-0 at home to Juventus last night, and although the former midfielder has criticised the United boss in the past, he believes that he has seen a change in attitude from the Portuguese manager that suggests he should be given a chance:

“No, I wouldn’t change him. He has the experience to turn it around. The last couple of weeks he’s been different. His attitude has been better towards the players.”

Mourinho admitted after the game against Juve that his side are a “bit far” off matching the level of the Italian champions in terms of experience and quality.

However, the Manchester club are still second in their Champions League group and have a good chance of qualifying for the last 16 despite the defeat last night.

Valencia only drew 1-1 away at Young Boys leaving them on two points from three games, with United two points ahead on four heading into the second game against Juventus in two weeks time.
