Savage Thinks United Should Move “Heaven And Earth” To Sign This Championship Star Ahead of James

TV pundit Robbie Savage believes Manchester United should be pursuing Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, ahead of the likes of Daniel James and Sean Longstaff this summer.

If the club are to move ahead with signing any young player, Savage says Grealish should be the one that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should prioritise:

“If the rumours are true, and Manchester United are looking at Swansea’s Daniel James and Newcastle prospect Sean Longstaff as possible signings, I would go for Grealish ahead of them.”

“Even if Aston Villa win promotion on Monday, Grealish is the player I would move heaven and earth to wear the red shirt of United.”

Grealish has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham in the past but the 23-year-old signed a new contract back in September, and will likely cost a substantial amount.

Despite Savage’s insistence that the midfielder is the best player in the Championship, the Villa star has only scored six goals and provided eight assists this season.

Swansea’s Daniel James has similar numbers (with four goals and nine assists in the league), and would be available for a lot less than Grealish.

United have been seeking to add youth to their squad so far this summer, with reports linking them with moves for Stoke’s Nathan Collins, as well as James and Longstaff.
