Sancho, Ronaldo And Maguire To Start, Rashford And Lindelof Out: United’s Predicted XI To Face Villa

Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick says his side will have to make sure they are up for the battle when they take on Aston Villa in the league tomorrow evening.

The Red Devils scraped through their FA Cup tie against Steven Gerrard’s side on Monday and the clash at Villa Park is likely to be just as challenging.

David De Gea will start in goal for United, but Alex Telles will come in for the suspended Luke Shaw at left-back. Diogo Dalot will likely keep his place on the right-hand side.

Rangnick has confirmed that captain Harry Maguire has recovered from an abdominal injury, so he is expected to partner Raphael Varane in the centre of defence, with Victor Lindelof making way.

Scott McTominay will also be missing due to suspension, and that will likely see Nemanja Matic being recalled to play alongside Fred in the middle of the park. Bruno Fernandes could play in a no.10 role.

Up front, Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to fitness may see him replace Edinson Cavani. Jadon Sancho could come in for the out-of-form Marcus Rashford on the left flank, with Mason Greenwood playing from the right-wing.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Play Aston Villa:

De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles, Matic, Fernandes, Fred, Greenwood, Ronaldo, Sancho
