Sanchez on-course for repeat of Arsenal dilemma as forward isolates himself at Old Trafford

Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez is becoming an increasing concern for staff at Old Trafford after his recent ‘isolating’ behaviour, says reports.

The Chile international joined United in January in a controversial switch from Arsenal, but has thus far struggled to validate his astronomical £600 per week wage packet.

Ten starts have yielded just one goal for Sanchez since his move, and there are now worries that the forward could already be regretting his decision to make the switch to Old Trafford.

Mourinho demoted Sanchez to the bench for United’s FA Cup quarter-final victory over Brighton on Saturday after a woeful individual performance against Sevilla last week.

And The Daily Mail claim Sanchez cuts an isolated, miserable figure at Carrington and often eats by himself in the canteen, away from his team-mates.

They also claim that Sanchez has struggled to fit in with his new colleagues, and that his isolating behaviour is disrupting the camp at Old Trafford.

Sanchez showed similar types of conduct towards the end of his career at Arsenal.

The 29-year-old was disappointed that he was unable to secure a £60 million move to Manchester City last summer, and a number of dressing room bust-ups and a huge dip in his performances followed.

Sanchez chose to move to United instead of City in January, reportedly due to a huge wage packet he was offered by the Red Devils, a figure City were not willing to match.
