Manchester United are not expected to make any major signings during the January transfer window, according to the Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst.
The journalist claims that the club’s focus in upcoming months will be on contract extensions and selling off unwanted players:

Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix has once again been mentioned as a potential transfer target for United this week, with the Portuguese international said to be pressing for a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano in the New Year.
The striker, who joined Atletico for £113m in 2019, is not happy about his playing situation and his relationship with manager Diego Simeone has reportedly broken down.
Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with Felix but, with United having the greatest need for a new no.9, it was felt that Old Trafford would be his likeliest destination. However, if Luckhurst is to be believed, it appears that the Red Devils won’t be investing big sums on new additions when the transfer window reopens.
