RVP On His Way Out

RVP On His Way Out

The Turkish league has become somewhat of a magnet for Premier League players who are not only stimulated financially but are also drawn there by the impressive crowds which pretty much resemble some of the Premier League’s best supportered clubs. After Nani recently going to Turkey, Robin Van Persie is very close to signing a 4 year deal also with Fenerbache who just secured RVP’s Man United colleague a couple of days back. There seems to be no future at Old Trafford for Van Persie who in 105 games for United, managed to score 58 times and provide 22 assists. Unfortunately it looks like the euphoria that kept him going after winning his first Premier League trophy has run out. RVP has said in the press today that he feels betrayed.

Even though he made 31 appearances during last season he only scored 12 goals and is now rumored he will not be extending the contract he has which is set to expire in 2016. Moving to Fener would be a nice way to dial it back a notch in terms of physical stress. RVP is known for being extremely fragile which makes what he did while in the UK even more amazing. It might be time for him to make way for someone new. Who that is no one can tell right now. There are some options on the market but none seem to be rising to the level requested by Van Gaal.

Van Persie will feel at home in a way if he does put pen on paper and joins Fenerbache for the next 4 years as reported by Sky Sports. He will not only have Nani but he will also have Sneijder in the same league who will be playing for Galatasaray for at least one more year.
