Manchester United have agreed to make Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim their next manager.
Erik Ten Hag was sacked on Monday after United’s 2-1 defeat against West Ham where Jarrod Bowen scored the winning penalty that sealed Ten Hag’s fate as Manchester United boss.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy has taken on the job on an interim basis and he will lead United this weekend against Chelsea before Amorim takes over on November 11 during the international break.
Amorim has had a lot of success at Sporting CP winning two Portuguese League titles since joining in March 2020.
He will need to put things right at Manchester United as the Red Devils sit in 14th in the Premier League after nine games winning three games, drawing twice and losing four times so far.
