Ronaldo And Malacia To Start, Fred And Shaw On The Bench: United’s Predicted XI To Face Brentford

After getting off to a terrible start against Brighton, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will be hoping for a better performance when they travel to face Brentford this weekend.

David De Gea will start in goal, but there could be a change at fullback, with Tyrell Malacia coming in for Luke Shaw on the left flank. Diogo Dalot is expected to retain his position on the right-hand side.

Despite a disappointing debut, Lisandro Martinez will probably continue to partner captain Harry Maguire in the centre of defence, even though Raphael Varane is back available.

Fred was hauled off after just 53 minutes last Saturday and, while his midfield partner Scott McTominay was equally poor, the Scotland international may keep his place in order to provide some balance if Christian Eriksen is asked to play a deeper role.

Bruno Fernandes will likely start as the number 10, with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford on the wings. Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to lead the line with Anthony Martial still sidelined.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Play Brentford:
