Romelu Lukaku believes Belgium can upset Brazil in Kazan

Romelu Lukaku believes Belgium can upset Brazil to make it through to the World Cup semi-finals.

Brazil are favourite for the tournament with only eight teams left, however will have to first make their way through Belgium and Lukaku if they are to on to lift the trophy.

The two sides face off tonight on Kazan.

In eight games this year, including four in Russia, Brazil have kept seven clean sheets and conceded just one goal.

However Belgium too have impressed since the turn of the year, winning seven of their eight games also, scoring 23-goals along the way – including 12 at the World Cup.

And Lukaku believes that while Brazil are the favourites to win tonight, Belgium’s firepower can cause real problems for Neymar and co. at the Kazan Arena.

“Weakness in Brazil? Not really,” Lukaku said yesterday afternoon.

“I think offensively they’re very strong. They’ve players who can make the difference, they have good box-to-box players who are dangerous.

“Defensively, I think they can be taken, but you can’t attack in the same manner all the time.

“Three out of four are really experienced so you have to know exactly how to attack. We trained for that and we are well prepared.”

The winner of the clash between Brazil and Belgium will face either Uruguay or France in the semi-finals.
