Arsenal have not enquired about Manchester United attacking midfielder Donny van de Beek, according to the Guardian‘s Fabrizio Romano.
There were reports at the end of last week that said that the Gunners had made an enquiry about the Dutchman’s availability, but Romano says no discussions have taken place:
There are no talks between Arsenal, Manchester United or player agents for Donny van de Beek. ?? #MUFC
Arsenal will sign a new midfielder, for sure – but there’s nothing going on for van de Beek as of today. There are other names in the list as priorities. #AFC

Even though it appears Arsenal won’t be making an offer for Van de Beek, the 24-year-old’s future at Old Trafford still looks far from certain.
There was an expectation that the Netherlands international would take up the mantle if Paul Pogba was sold, but the Frenchman still seems unlikely to leave the Red Devils, despite his contract running down into its final year.
If Van de Beek does remain with United, the midfielder will certainly be hoping for more game time in his second campaign with the club. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed the player just four league starts last season.
