Romano Claims 18M Rated Defender ‘Will Push To Leave’ Current Club As He Looks To Force United Switch

Alex Telles “will push to leave” Porto in the next few days with Manchester United interested in signing the Brazilian international, according to the Guardian‘s Fabrizio Romano:

After missing out on Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham, the Red Devils are looking at potential alternatives and, as Romano mentions, they are weighing up a potential offer for Telles.

Porto will look to sell the 27-year-old for approximately €20m (£18m) due to the fact he has less than twelve months left on his contract so a deal should be easy to complete if United make a formal approach.

Romano does also say that the Manchester club are also looking at another left-back, although the identity of that player remains a mystery at the moment.

It seems it could be a busy few weeks in the transfer market for United, with as many as three players expected to be brought in. The 3-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace on the opening day will almost certainly increase the urgency to get deals done.
