Manchester United fullback Diogo Dalot has been told he can leave the club this summer, according to the Evening Standard.
The signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka appears to have blocked the Portuguese starlet’s path to the first team.
Needless to say, news about Dalot’s potential exit has not gone down well on Twitter:
Ridiculous, if true! The lad has talent!

It’s almost like journalists are making it up as they go along. If Dalot leaves I’ll buy a hat and eat it.

It would be very surprising if manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has actually told Dalot that he can leave.
The fact that the Standard only mentioned the news in passing in a report about Paul Pogba does suggest that it’s more hearsay than fact, or perhaps it’s referring to him leaving on loan.
Dalot was signed from Porto for £19m last summer, and while he initially struggled with injuries, he did manage to make 25 appearances in all competitions last campaign.
Solskjaer started him 13 times suggesting that he does rate the youngster, but it remains to be seen if Wan-Bissaka’s arrival has changed things.
