REPORT: United Weighing Up £70m Bid To Bring Back Former Player

Manchester United are considering bringing back Wilfried Zaha to Old Trafford, according to the Sun. The Red Devils are believed to be preparing a £70m offer for the Ivorian international next summer.

The winger’s first spell with the club ended in failure, with the 26-year-old initially being loaned out to Cardiff City before eventually being sold back to Crystal Palace for a loss.

Zaha was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Everton in August but neither club managed to meet the Eagles’ asking price for the player.

The speculation over his future has seemingly affected his form, with the wide man having scored no goals and contributed just two assists in 13 appearances this campaign.

It is a stark contrast to last season when Zaha bagged ten goals and provided ten assists in 36 games for Palace. Whether his performances, though, would merit a £70m outlay, it is up for debate.
