REPORT: United Turned Down By Ex Liverpool Star Suarez

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has rejected interest from Manchester United, according to Diario Gol.

The Spanish publication reports that the Red Devils made contact with the Uruguayan’s representatives in order to gauge whether the forward would be willing to move to Old Trafford.

Suarez reportedly would not consider a move to United due to his former association with Liverpool.

The Uruguayan is said to be keen to stay at the Camp Nou for as long as possible but the decision could be taken out of his hands.

Suarez is now 32 and has two and a half years left on his current deal, but Barca are believed to be considering bringing in a younger player to replace him.

This campaign, the striker has hit the back of the net 16 times and provided eight assists in 33 appearances for Barcelona. He has spent four and a half years in Spain since leaving England in the summer of 2014.
