Manchester United have scheduled talks with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent, according to Soccerlink. The French website believes the Red Devils have arranged a meeting with Fali Ramadani to speak about the possibility of the Senegalese international moving to England.
United previously had discussions with Koulibaly’s representative a few weeks ago, but with the transfer deadline looming, the Manchester club are stepping up their interest.
Despite United not being in the Champions League, the 28-year-old is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford, but it remains to be seen if a bid will be made for the Serie A star.
Koulibaly is rated at £137m by his club Napoli, and while that fee could be negotiated down, it would still be a lot more than they would have to pay for Harry Maguire.
Leicester are said to be demanding between £80m and £90m for the England international but United have yet to meet the Foxes’ asking price.
