REPORT: United Table £62m Offer For Arsenal Ace

Manchester United have offered €69m (£62m) for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to FCInternews.it.

The Italian website believes the Red Devils’ reported bid for the Gunners forward will facilitate Romelu Lukaku’s move to Inter.

Aubameyang was linked with a switch to United earlier this month, but these reports have tended to come from sources outside of the UK.

Considering manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is focusing on signing younger players this summer, it seems unlikely he would sanction such a bid for a 30-year-old.

Aubameyang would fit the profile for the type of striker that United would be looking for. He has pace and scores a lot of goals, but there has been no indication that the club are looking to sign a forward.

The Red Devils’ main focus appears to be signing a centre-back, with Harry Maguire the club’s primary target. Leicester’s valuation of the 26-year-old has, though, made a deal difficult to complete.
