REPORT: United Set To Prioritise £80m Sancho Bid After Snubbing Coutinho

Manchester United are not interested in signing Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona in the summer, according to reports in the English media.

A move for the former Liverpool player has been suggested over the past few months, and it is believed that contact was made between intermediaries indicating the Brazilian would be open to moving back to the Premier League.

Coutinho has struggled since making the switch to Barca last January, having scored just four goals and contributed two assists in the league this campaign.

Despite the Brazilian’s reported interest, United are instead prioritising a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho as they look to improve their forward line.

The 18-year-old has been linked with an £80m move during the summer with the Red Devils seemingly looking to sign young players rather than established talent.

Sancho is, however, said to be keen to stay at Dortmund a while longer to continue his footballing development, although a sizeable offer to return to England may turn his head.
