REPORT: United Make Surprise Enquiry For £30m Rated PSG Midfielder

Manchester United are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain holding midfielder Idrissa Gueye, according to Le10 Sport.

The French magazine claims the Red Devils recently made an enquiry about the availability of the former Everton star, with Wolves also believed to be keeping tabs on the player.

PSG are apparently open to selling Gueye just a year after signing the Senegalese international for £30m with the Ligue One club looking to revamp their midfield options.

However, the player himself currently has no intention of leaving the Parc des Princes after having played 33 matches in all competitions last campaign.

It is debatable whether United would need Gueye anyway. They already have the likes of Fred, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay who can play as deep-lying midfielders.

The PSG player certainly would add some dynamism and energy to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s midfield but at 30 years of age, he would not be a signing for the long term.
