Manchester United are considering making a “desperate attempt” to snap up Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, according to Inter Live.
The Italian website claim that Erik ten Hag’s side may try and tempt Inter into agreeing to a swap deal, with either Donny van de Beek or Anthony Martial being included in the offer.
Skriniar will only have six months remaining on his current deal with Inter in January, so the Nerazzurri could look to sell the centre-back in order to stop him from moving on a free transfer at the end of the season.
However, Inter Live report that neither van de Beek nor Martial would be of interest to the Serie A club so United’s efforts to recruit Skriniar are unlikely to succeed.
The Slovakian international has also been linked with other Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea, but it is believed his likeliest destination would be Paris Saint-Germain if he decides to run down his contract.
