REPORT: United ‘Are Ready’ To Revive Move For Croatian Star As Agent Is Contacted

Manchester United “are ready” to make a new bid to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to Calciomercato.com. The Italian site claims the Red Devils have contacted the Croatian international’s agents regarding a move in the January transfer window.

The Manchester club have been linked with the 31-year-old on and off over the last three and a half years but it seems that they will, once again, try to lure him away from the San Siro.

However, Perisic won’t be allowed to leave Inter without the Serie A side finding a replacement first. This season, the Croatian has most often been used as a left wingback in a 3-5-2 system so manager Antonio Conte is keen to find someone who can fulfil his role in the team.

With that being the case, it appears that Chelsea pair Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso are the two standard candidates, with both players likely to be on the market next month. If the Nerazzurri make their move for one of them, it could pave the way for Perisic’s departure.
