REPORT: United Are Plotting 47M Double Raid As Club Look To Strengthen Ten Hag’s Forward Options

Manchester United could make moves for PSV’s Cody Gakpo AND Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic before the transfer window shuts, according to The Times.

It was reported yesterday that the Red Devils have registered their interest in Gakpo but it is also believed that Kalajdzic could be the subject of a bid this month.

Neither player is expected to cost a great deal. Gakpo’s asking price is thought to be €35m (£30m), while Kalajdzic will be sold for around €20m (£17m), due to the fact that he has less than a year left on his contract.

However, The Times do claim that United are keen to sell some unwanted players “before proceeding with either signing”, which will undoubtedly frustrate supporters.

The likes of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Axel Tuanzebe are all deemed surplus to requirements by manager Erik ten Hag but it has taken longer than expected to find them new clubs this summer.

Other teams are interested in Gakpo, with Arsenal having been credited with an interest recently, so it will be hoped that the club don’t wait too long before making their first offer.
