REPORT: United And Liverpool Have ‘Asked To Be Kept Informed’ About 17 Goal Marksman Ahead Of Potential Bid

Manchester United and Liverpool have joined the race to sign Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, according to 90min.com.

The website claims both clubs have “asked to be kept informed” about the Moroccan international’s situation, with the forward having bagged 17 goals in all competitions this season.

West Ham had a bid turned down for En-Nesyri back in the January transfer window, with Sevilla reportedly holding out for a transfer fee in the region of €40m (£34.4m).

That asking price could go even higher, though, with 90min.com claiming that Sevilla are looking to give the 23-year-old a contract extension.

En-Nesyri only moved from Leganes for £18m in the summer but he is currently the fourth-highest goalscorer in La Liga and his club are keen to keep hold of him.

United are thought to be interested in signing a striker in the summer, but it is believed that Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland could be their main priority, above other options.
