REPORT: United Among The SEVEN Possible Destinations For 86M Rated Serie A Marksman

Manchester United are among the teams who have made enquiries for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and AC Milan have also registered their interest in recent months. However, both the Gunners and Bayern have now dropped out.

As things stand, no club has made a formal bid for Osimhen, with Napoli’s €100m (£86m) asking price seemingly putting off potential suitors from making a concerted effort to sign the Nigerian international.

The Corriere Dello Sport claim Newcastle are the “most interested” team, after previously having had an offer rejected for the 23-year-old during the January transfer window, but they haven’t returned to the negotiating table since then.

In terms of Erik ten Hag’s side, it seems Osimhen is unlikely to be a primary target, with the club having refocused their efforts on recruiting a versatile forward, rather than an out-and-out striker. Ajax’s Antony is believed to be the main option currently, although the Red Devils could return to Osimhen if a deal for the Brazilian doesn’t get off the ground.
