REPORT: Spanish Star Leads Three Man List Of United Summer Targets As Club Plan £300m Spending Spree

Manchester United are weighing up a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez as part of a £300m spending spree next summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils have been monitoring the Spanish international’s situation, and they are also considering moves for Lyon’s Moussa Dembele and Leicester City’s James Maddison in order to improve their attacking threat.

United have lacked quality in the final third this season, having scored only nine goals in their first eight games, and the Manchester club are looking to find an extra cutting edge to improve their fortunes.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are unlikely to improve their squad significantly in the January transfer window and it is believed that most of the new signings will be made in the summer.

With United currently sitting in 14th place heading into this afternoon’s clash against Liverpool, it could prove to be a difficult season for the club unless their form improves significantly.
