REPORT: Solskjaer Has Prioritised One Key Position For United To Strengthen In January

Manchester United will go all out to sign a new right-winger in the January transfer window, according to ESPN FC. The website reports manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees the position as the key priority to strengthen following the lack of goals and creativity this season.

Borussia Dortmund Jadon Sancho is the player that the Red Devils are keenest on signing but that is unlikely to happen in the middle of the campaign, so the club may have to look at other options.

Solskjaer has also made it known that he wants an extra striker, following the departures of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, while a central midfielder is also being sought.

Most supporters were aware of these shortcomings in the summer, and it was a big surprise when the transfer window closed without reinforcements being brought in.

The lack of depth in the squad has been exposed by the number of injuries that United have suffered, and there is no doubt that it has impacted their league form.
