Report Reveals United’s January Transfer Budget And Fans Won’t Be Happy

Manchester United have only £30m to spend in the January transfer window, before player sales, according to the Sun.

It is a very small amount considering the need to strengthen in key areas and the newspaper claims they will have to find ways to double that figure if they are to secure a possible target in Leicester’s Harvey Barnes.

The England international has been tracked by United’s scouts who believe he is a viable alternative to Jadon Sancho. However, the Foxes would demand at least £60m to let the 22-year-old leave next month.

United are said to be looking at a number of possible sales, with the local media claiming that the likes Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero could be offloaded.

However, the transfer budget is still too small to make any significant purchases. CEO Ed Woodward has recently stated that their focus is on signing players in the summer and it seems clear there will be very little business done in January.
