Report Reveals Ronaldo’s Stance As United Make £250K A Week Contract Offer

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is not willing to see his salary cut in half to re-join Manchester United, according to TMW.

The Italian website reports that the Portuguese international’s agent Jorge Mendes has offered the 36-year-old to three clubs with the player keen to leave Juve if they don’t qualify for the Champions League next season.

Paris Saint-Germain have shown no interest in Ronaldo, while his former club Real Madrid have also declined to make an offer. United would, though, be open to the player returning to Old Trafford.

However, as things stand, that doesn’t look likely. Ronaldo is currently earning €31m a year after tax, but the Red Devils are only willing to give him €15m (£13m), which works out at £250,000 a week.

If Juventus do drop out of the Champions League places, TMW report that Ronaldo may well revisit the offer on the table from United, despite the severe drop in wages.
