Report Reveals ‘Concerns’ About What The Glazers Are Doing As New United Takeover Details Emerge

Manchester United owners, the Glazers, are deliberately delaying the sale of the club, according to ESPN.

It is believed that two of the six siblings, Joel and Avram, are reluctant to sell their shares in the team and there are now “concerns” that a takeover could be delayed to sometime after the end of the season.

Sheikh Jassim has made four different bids for the Red Devils (with a possibility of a fifth), while Nice owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has offered to take a majority stake in the club.

The Glazers are reportedly still considering minority shareholder investment as well, but it appears that divisions within the family are hindering the takeover process.

The Implications For United’s Transfer Business

A delay in the takeover could cause problems when it comes to bringing in new signings. Manager Erik ten Hag is keen to strengthen his squad but there is unlikely to be funds available for transfers until the club’s ownership situation is resolved.

With that being the case, there is a danger that United could miss out on key targets who could move to other teams early this summer. Fans will be hoping that takeover talks don’t last for much longer.
