Manchester United have a shortlist of five players that they will look to pursue this summer, according to the Evening Standard‘s James Robson.

Unsurprisingly, the name at the top of the list is Jadon Sancho, but they do have an alternative in Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman if they fail to come to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund.

The Red Devils are also looking at adding an attacking midfielder with Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish still in the frame, although the 24-year-old’s price tag may force them into looking elsewhere.

Ajax’s Donny van de Beek is currently seen as the cheaper option, but United will only move for the Dutchman if it becomes clear that Grealish isn’t a realistic target.

Perhaps the most surprising name on the list, though, is Juventus’s Matthijs de Ligt. The Netherlands international only moved to Italy last summer but the Evening Standard believe the Red Devils still hold an interest in the centre-back.
