REPORT: Manchester United Superstar Pulls Out Of England Squad With Injury

Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford has withdrawn from the Three Lions’ squad due to injury, reports claim.

Rashford’s injury is not thought to be serious – he was withdrawn in the 83rd minute of United’s FA Cup win over Fulham, after suffering a knock. He isn’t expected to be out for long and should be fit to play in the Red Devils’ next competitive fixture against Newcastle in the Premier League on April 2.

It’s a massive blow for England, however, as they lose arguably their most in-form attacking player ahead of their run of Euro 2024 qualifying games.

England are set to take on Italy and Ukraine in their upcoming pair of Euro 2024 qualifying games. It will be their first set of qualifiers for the competition – the other two teams in their group are Malta and North Macedonia.

Rashford isn’t the only England player to have departed the squad due to injury – Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Newcastle’s Nick Pope are also both out with their own respective injuries.

Currently, the Manchester United payers who are still in the England squad are Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw – the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jack Butland did not make the final cut.
