REPORT: Manchester United ‘Hold Talks’ With Former Manchester City Player

Manchester United are reportedly interested in a move for Manchester City academy graduate Felix Nmecha, according to German sports media outlet Sport1.

A powerful, technically gifted central midfielder, Nmecha has been attracting attention from clubs across Europe thanks to his impressive performances in the Bundesliga last season.

At just 22 years of age, he still has plenty of room for growth. Currently under contract at Wolfsburg, United have reportedly held talks with the player and his family in recent weeks.

Reportedly, he wants to leave Wolfsburg in the summer transfer window. Additionally, Wolfsburg would not ask for a steep fee to secure his services – allegedly, their asking price for the player stands at around £12-£14 million.

Who else, besides Manchester United, is interested in a move for Felix Nmecha?

Aside from United, German giants Borussia Dortmund are also thought to be interested in a move for Nmecha. Despite this, as things stand, it is unclear as to whether they have been in contact with the player or not.

As such, the Red Devils are currently in the lead to acquire Nmecha’s signature regarding a transfer, if Sport1’s report is to be believed.
