REPORT: Juventus ‘One Step Away’ From Snatching Key Manchester United Target

Juventus are “one step away” from sealing a move for Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland, according to Tuttosport. The Turin based newspaper claims they have a “reliable” source that says the Norwegian international is closing in on a switch to Italy.

Manchester United were said to be leading the race for the 19-year-old, while the likes of RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are also believed to have held talks with the player.

However, it appears agent Mino Raiola is reportedly acting as an intermediary in negotiations which has put Juve in the driving seat for Haaland’s signature.

Tuttosport say that the 19-year-old does indeed have a €30m (£25.7m) release clause which can only be triggered in the January transfer window. It has led to the Serie A side making their move for the striker.

Haaland is high demand after scoring 28 goals in just 22 appearances this campaign, and United supporters will be hoping this report from Italy is inaccurate.
